Many of the artifacts
you find here were created during the Arts and Crafts Era,
particularly the metal items. In
addition, you will find finely crafted collectibles from later eras
up to late 1930's. The Etc. items you will find are quality
collectibles that do not fit in the pottery or metal categories.
All
art pottery is in factory mint condition unless stated otherwise in
the description of the item. Since you are buying on-line and cannot
physically inspect the item prior to purchase, I believe it is
important to advise you of conditions such as crazing, glaze skips,
glaze pops even though they existed at the time the pot left the
factory.
Many pottery lines have certain flaws associated with the line.
Fulper often has glaze pops. Cream colored wares typically have
visible crazing. Lines like McCoy and Zanesville often have glaze
skips and glaze pops.
Metal shows age much more than pottery. It is very rare that you
will find a metal piece that does not show the effects of time.
Metal scratches, bends and dents. So, with the metal items you find
here, expect some signs of wear, generally very light rubs,
scratches or deterioration of a patina. Again, expect to find the
problems affecting value to be mentioned.
